OZO wanted to create some new MiiR mugs with a popular graphic from our back catalog. I took the opportunity to update both the illustration and lettering.
My goal was to retain the hand drawn quality of the original graphic while improving the details and strengthening the overall composition. I redrew all of the letters by hand, inked and scanned them, and then fine tuned the anchor points after tracing the artwork in Illustrator. On the bear head, I updated the ears, enlarged the eye, added definition to the nose, and improved the transition into shadow on the neck.
