Pendleton whiskey label

Hey guys, I'm working on a whiskey label and I'm in need of some feedback. It's not quite to the point where I'd like it to be. I wanted to portray a sign painter-esque feel, something out of the ordinary for a kentucky bourbon. Any suggestions would be lovely. Also, check @2x and the logo type is attached for further inspection. Please comment on the letterforms of the logotype as you see fit.
