Commenco is Kansas City’s leading technology solutions specialist. They specialize in wireless technology infrastructure, FCC-licensed two-way radio systems, tower maintenance and repairs, equipment installations, deployments, & maintenance for commercial, industrial, and government organizations.

They came to us at Guild Content with a specific, yet complicated problem to solve. They wanted their brand to embody the reputation they've built in Kansas City over the last 70+ years. This included brand messaging, a brand refresh, and a shiny new website.

Brand Refresh & Design Systems

The first thing that we needed to establish was how the brand was going to show up in the world. We knew the logo wasn't changing but everything else was fair game, including the color palette, typography, and iconography.

We wanted the brand to be bright and inviting so we brightened up their existing blue and used a darker secondary blue to add depth and vibrancy. Blue was a no-brainer as it evokes feelings of loyalty, trust, and intelligence which is exactly how they're positioned in the market.

The accent color was born out of how some hardware products utilize pops of color to draw attention to certain buttons or functionalities on their products. This bright green color is mostly used in subtle ways to call attention to icons, infographics, and buttons on interactive designs or when multiple colors are needed for informational design.

The Website

With the many solutions that Commenco provides, it was important for the website to be clean and easy to navigate. The use of white space and the angled design elements help make this website simple and eye-catching at the same time.

Iconography

Iconography is very important in an industry such as this. There are so many industries and products that it's vital to be able to communicate clearly and quickly via iconography. These simple and clean line icons play well with the rest of the brand.
