The Zoo Website Redesign

Zoos deserve good websites too. That's why I redesigned my local Zoo's website as a personal project. For fun, for kicks, for the animals.

I started with auditing the homepage, using FigJam to make notes and observations. I then tackled the sitemap, to better understand the site content and inform navigation.

Problems to solve:

• Site lacked wow factor that a visit to the zoo provides

• Top navigation was hidden on desktop & footer lacked a sitemap

• Email sign up was difficult to find

• Duplicative messaging & content

• Lack of intuitive content structure

Other things I did:

• Introduced video headers

• Modernized the brand experience

• Improved conservation education
