July 4th Ten Paces and Draw Submission

This is a snippet from my submission to the illustration swap blog, Ten Paces and Draw (http://ten-paces.blogspot.com/). The blog recruits illustrators, asks them to develop sketches on a certain theme, and then swaps the sketches among them. The final pieces are then posted on the blog at the end of each week (along with the original sketches). This week's theme was, naturally, Americana and the 4th of July. The finished pieces should appear on the blog tomorrow (Friday) morning :)
