Metamorphosis Mural

The Metamorphosis Mural was created by a group of 5 artists tasked with illustrating what the Youngstown Business Incubator (YBI) means to the growth of Youngstown, Ohio. The theme of metamorphosis was chosen as the city of Youngstown was and still is in a state of growth and change with the YBI being at the epicenter of that supporting and incubating small businesses.

This section includes a historical black and white illustration at the center of the original downtown Youngstown where the YBI is located with surround buildings full of color showing the growth of the city. Dragonflies and butterflies symbolizing metamorphosis fly throughout the city block mural. This particular section including lines of movement and leaves to signify the winds of change.
