Kamalika - Branding for Women Empowering NGO

NGO Kamalika provides livelihoods for resource-deprived women living in rural areas of India. The aim was to level the employment field for disadvantaged women, by providing them options that enhance their economic status, dignity and decision-making within the society.

With an inspiration from 'Hamsa' symbolising happiness, luck and good fortune, the identity of this NGO is a representation of a closed bud Lotus or Kamal, joining hands of women self-help group. The branding process promotes economic development of women and create a safe environment for them for a social change. The branding and name was kept simplistic yet cultural keeping the target audience in mind. The colour palette comes from the lotus itself that signifies growth and feminity amongst the rural women.
