J.James Maker of Things

Logo Design & Creative Direction

Jeremy was the first neighbor I met when my wife and I moved into our new home in October of 2016. Three short months later, Jeremy decided he was leaving the country to explore the world for an undetermined amount of time.  I lived vicariously through the pictures he posted on social media as he traveled the globe.

Fourteen months later, Jeremy and I sat at the bar next door catching up on his year abroad. Knowing my background in product design and branding, he presented the idea of J.James Maker of Things.  He told me about his inspiration, the passion he had wandering off the beaten path, exploring the unknown, and making friends along the way. Jeremy’s travels taught him the importance of quality. In great detail, Jeremy explained how he wanted to hand-make products for those that desire to wander. Everything he intended to create is meant to be a life staple, something that will be there as we write our own stories and embark on individual adventures. Every piece is built to age as beautifully as we all do. When you purchase a product handmade by J. James, you are investing in your own stories, adventures, and future.

The brand appealed to me immediately.  He let me run with it.
