Detail from the initial logged-out experience at Tweetype, the Twitter-based typing game I built last year. Upon arriving at Tweetype, a player is immediately greeted with a single tweet to type. As soon as they begin, the timer starts, and they get a tiny taste of what a full-length game is like. That's followed by inviting them to play a full-length game from a search before logging in. All of that was designed to reduce drop-off I found in the first version, when players immediately hit a Twitter log-in screen after arriving. The typefaces are Depot New by Moretype and Clavo by Dada Studio, both from Typekit.
