La Francavillese logotype

Hi all! Finally, I'm ready to share my new project. @antoniodisumma Antonio di Summa asked me to design a logo for an independent bookstore in Francavilla Fontana under the "Libreria Francavillese" brand. We have come to a simple and concise sign based on an arrow, a deer, a book and a water source. It was also decided to change the name of the store, now it sounds like "La Francavillese". @libreriafrancavillese

The idea of the sign is based on a well-known Italian medieval legend, here is how it was conveyed by the customer.

“The legend is based on a typical pattern of founding myths of medieval Italian cities. It tells that a prince from the Imperiali family (who actually founded the city) was hunting with a friend in the forest. At some point, a friend found a deer. drank from the spring and tried to kill him by firing an arrow, but the arrow returned and nearly hit the man. Having recovered from his fright, this man went up to the deer, which remained sitting and was not afraid of his presence, and noticed that next to the source of water was drawn an image of St. Mary with the Holy Child, who later became the protector of the city, and he believed that it was a miracle, and Saint Mary protected the deer. Many people came to look at the icon, so it was decided to build a city around this place.
