Hi everyone! (*^‿^*)

Just want to share my way to do illustrations for error pages with 4 different scenarios. Let's say the app is about indoor lifestyle inspiration app, so there's a high possibility users will get lost when accessing some articles.

I created the screen as a blocker with a scene illustration to build up users' awareness of the current conditions so they will take action without any distractions from previous tasks/journeys.

*I created the copy, the ux, the ui by myself, sorry for the terrible grammar ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

The first illustration is about a blocker that the company knows exactly about the error; something is mistaken so they need to fix it. And, yes, the company also provides a solution to make the users happy; give away premium articles for free during maintenance. The illustration conveys a relaxed mood and enjoying the rest time while reading.

The second illustration is for fun only. Sometimes network errors might be from users' side but we can show the message to them. I guess being playful can deliver the message in a better way rather than showing a broken signal.

The third illustration is about someone who knocked on your personal space. Not to be rude. Just in case you feel lonely when facing an error page, you know there's someone (from the company) on your side.

The fourth illustration is about an error that neither company, users, nor even the engineer little knows about. Yes, a case like that does exist. I provide a 'weird' illustration (falling down; but still safe!) to push users to report their current condition to the company server.
