Shift scheduling system - Dipendenti in Cloud

🚀 Great collaborations strive to deliver valuable products.
Dipendenti in Cloud is one of the major players in the HR management systems in Italy.
This time they asked us to design a shift scheduling system. We introduced different features, such as:
- a representation of the shifts on the timeline;
- a system that allows you to publish the schedule or save it as a draft;
- the swap shift feature.
Our UXR team involved real users in qualitative usability testing sessions. The goal was to understand if our design was usable and intuitive enough.
Some opinions and pain points we collected:
- participants expected a wider range of interaction with interface elements;
- the copy chosen to explain some concepts and features of the interface was not clear enough;
- missing preview information forced participants to make unnecessary memory efforts.
Starting from these insights, we improved the UX of the project. Working side by side with our users is always an enriching experience 🪄.
