047 Parasect - Pokemon One a Day

Part of a series of 152 illustrations that sought to present the famous character creatures of the Nintendo hit franchise Pokemon in various new styles and direction. Parasect was a piece that I had a vision for that was saw through until completed.

I recall the creation of this piece to be quite a fun and creative exercise in building detail upon detail. The mushrooms in their own ways were mini-canvases for me to paint upon, and helped to create diversity in an ecosystem that would eventually build the foundation of the character and piece.
