More of a natural extension to current design. I got enough positive feedback on the last idea I thought I might try again.

Looks fantastic, Chris. Nice work. :-)
Vitesse looks fantastic!
I hope you progress with this idea, I really like it.
... hmm — I liked the old one better. :) By old I meant your first shot.
One of the things I like most about your site (apart from the consistently useful content) is that you change it up often. I think this is an elegant direction, and while I think I prefer the boldness of the colours on your previous shot - I do like the variety of textures and angles you're introducing in both of them. Look forward to being surprised by your site once again!
are you going to hold off on this until HFJ unleash their web fonts or are you considering a different slab serif?
nice work mate - looks really good
@Anthony Smith - I'll probably have to go hunting for something else. I have a feeling the HFJ web fonts thing isn't particularly close.
Hey Chris, this is really awesome. How do you feel about the lack of color? I liked the more prominent use of Orange from your previous shot.
@Doug Neiner - Check out more of it (with variation) on this Forrst page - http://forrst.com/posts/Tinkering_with_possible_new_design-YW5
Litttttle more colorful, but still, not as much as before. I have some tricks up my sleeve to (read: fancy hovers) that are going to bring more to the party.
But still, thanks for the feedback, always helpful.
Chris, I love design you posted on Forrst. It has just the right amount of color. The only thing I would say is to try adding a little monochromatic noise to the dark header. Just a thought...
