MacOS Air Quality Widget Concept
Hi there! It’s been a while since I posted anything on Dribbble, so it’s time to finally fix that. So here goes one of my latest concepts, the Air Quality widget for MacOS.
It is well known that air pollution can be harmful to our health. Exposure to air pollution may cause a wide range of health effects. The air we breathe can contain a variety of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere outdoors, so if you live in the city or its area that is affected by combustion processes from motor vehicles, solid fuel burning, and industry, it can be really helpful to follow the air quality forecast and even plan your day regarding it.
As you may know, the Air Quality Index (AQI) is based on measuring particulate matter, Ozone, Nitrogen Dioxide, Sulfur Dioxide, and Carbon Monoxide emissions. Each pollutant is measured in nanograms per cubic meter (μg/m3) and scales from level 0-50 AQI, considered to be totally ok for everyone, to 300+ AQI, which should be regarded as a critical health alert.
The detailed statistics, such as the pollutant’s title, its precise value, the color indicator, and AQI index, of all those pollutants are displayed in the bottom part of the widget but can be hidden if you just want to see the forecast and the overall AQI score.
Here goes the full widget, follow me if you like it! I’m planning to publish one more shot regarding this widget in a couple of weeks, so make sure you won’t miss it.
