Design for Mental Health Care website

The russian invasion of Ukraine has created an unheard-of situation in the country and the world. The largest number of forced refugees come to Poland. Many companies and organizations have taken it upon themselves to help. The Akademia Pedagogiki Specjalnej and the European Alliance Against Depression are among them. We have delivered a website for the iFightDepression tool which helps people to find psychological help. Our goal was to create a new website where people from Ukraine and all European countries can find their psychologists, get mental help and find peace and focus.

Honestly, it was an interesting project and experience that I had. We had an incredible timeline - 2 weeks for discovery, research, mind-mapping, wireframing, UI design, development, and QA! It was difficult for us because we had so many incredible ideas that we wanted to implement, but each time we stopped each other.

We used the old brand style of IFightDepression and updated it so that the new site would identify with the main site and the tool, but look modern. Since this is a site about depression and everything behind that word, it was difficult for us to find the right tone, and the position we wanted to convey through the design, colors, and photos.

We chose hope, hope for a happy future, for a solution to all problems. The users who come to us with problems need to see that it’s okay to struggle, to identify themselves with this problem, this is already half of the way they have gone. It’s not as scary as it seemed at first. So we made a design that’s positive and empowering. We designed the interface and navigation to be intuitive, so users can find the information they need in no time at all.

I just wanted to give giant, enormous praise to the team helping me with Tech To The Rescue project! The client was extremely happy with the cooperation and the result. At the moment they are still adding content and at first, it will run in Polish and English and with time they will be adding countries and specialists. I will make sure you all know when we go live!
