The food, colors, plants, and sign package were incredibly inspiring for the first Tropical Event at Central Market. My team and I were able to create a wealth of signs and decor pieces that invoked the feel of the tropics.
We created large paper leaves and flowers for use on signage and as decor. We crafted the palm trees at the front entrance with cardboard and 2x4s, the birds from foam blocks and tissue paper, and the Kid's Table we decorated with a treasure chest full of stickers and our piggy bank as a pirate captain.
Printed signage throughout the event detailed the origin and history of food from the tropics, ranging from coffee and chocolate to potatoes, that I researched and wrote specifically for the event.
