I absolutely love the wireframing stage of a project; Balsamiq is my preferred wireframing tool because the font is very similar to Comic Sans its obvious that these templates aren't the final the design. I think the monochrome and boxy nature of the design really allows clients to think about the placement of their content. Having good wireframes also speeds up my design process because when I get to the next stage of designing a template like the homepage, I can focus on choosing fonts, deciding on a colour palette and picking imagery rather than also having to think about the placement of each piece of content.
When I can I always try and wireframe with real life content and I was lucky when I started this project as FCB Coffee had an existing website that needed a redesign.
