the Labelmaker: Gorun Winery

"Connecting the Bulgarian Folklore Patterns with Modern Design

Gorun Winery is my latest wine adventure – an exciting wine project that kept me in suspense until the end. The name Gorun comes from the oak forests around the winery, characterized by a special type of oak called Quercus petraea. The name itself is unique in its sound and meaning, so we took the bold decision to use it as the name of the winery. The logo itself is significantly influenced by the oak theme. It depicts a horizontal cut of an oak trunk with very specific annual rings and solid bark."
