The Creature of Lake Calhoun FOR SALE!

This was my submission for a local (MPLS) shirt show. You can still buy one here! It's printed on a suuuuuper soft heather gray tee (mockup attached) and comes with extra goodies.

I also wrote this ridiculous description to go along with it...

Legend has it that in 1965, two young lovers left the Calhoun Drive-In Restaurant to take a midnight stroll along Lake Calhoun when they were viciously attacked by what they referred to as a “creature of unfathomable horror” with “glowing eyes, greenish-metallic skin and razor-sharp claws.” The couple sustained life-threatening gashes and bites, but survived the incident… only to die years later from a mysterious infection. In 1984, a young boy was returning home from an afternoon paper route when he discovered the remains of several victims near the Midtown Greenway Trail. The remains were never identified, but were thought to be those of three teenagers that went missing from a windsurfing outing earlier that summer. The recovered skull fragments were said to have large puncture wounds. In February 1997, two local men were ice fishing when one of the men claimed to have seen an “odd-shaped figure” under the ice. A follow-up investigation by authorities turned up little evidence, but for the past 17 years the men have refused to fish at the lake. Other reports throughout the years claim numerous sightings of a humanoid-like creature and show a marked increase in the disappearance of neighborhood pets. Some credit these incidents to a mysterious entity known only as “The Creature of Lake Calhoun,” though little evidence has been found to prove any existence of such a monster. A majority of local residents refuse to speak of it. The ones that do, will tell you not to go near the lake. Do you believe? Buy this gnarly shirt, grab your favorite swim trunks and discover the truth of the legend for yourself. Surfer beware… you may not come back in one piece.
