PocketEvents | Hackathon

For my second hackathon my team and I proposed an app similar to Eventbrite, but more social and more interactive. This app allows you to get to know your guest before he arrives to your event. You can find out what he likes and dislikes through his social media profile and tailor your event according to your guests, rather than just guessing what they want.

It will also allow the guests attending the event send live feedback to the event host to request certain things for example if the venue is too cold, now guests can simply send a request.

The app gives you a timeline view of the event you're attending so you'll never miss a talk or part of an event again. It uses NFC Beacons to track your every move at a certain event and checks you in automatically.

Our app won first place for best app for commercialisation at the annual MCMC AT&T Malaysia Developers Day 2014 in Kuala Lumpur.
