LK Monogram

I drew this monogram for the missus on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. The mark was inspired by the elegant lettering of the consummate craftsman, Reynolds Stone. While my piece is more restrained, lacking the warmth and flair characteristic of the master engraver's meticulous handiwork, spending time admiring his skill and ingenuity is always an enlightening experience.

Even if my wife didn't appreciate the back story of the monogram's creation, I knew the gerbera daisies would look great in one of her vintage mid-century finds:
