School Schedule / XIII

At Kolodo we work closely with an innovative new school for pupils with autism and learning difficulties. As part of our working relationship, we have been producing a pioneering app to allow school staff to plan, deliver, and monitor teaching and learning within the school, as well as at home and in the community.

Over the course of producing this app, I have learnt an awful lot about how learning for children with autism and learning difficulties differs from traditional learning and how good, clear and empathetic design can have a hugely positive impact on their ability to access and absorb information.

During lockdown, like many, I had plenty of free time on my hands, and I became deeply interested in the idea of producing an app for children aged 10 to 19 with autism and learning difficulties to use within a school environment. This is my lockdown passion project…
