🗳 Online Approval Voting Feature

Board management involves reviewing, presenting, and collecting votes on approvals (sometimes lots and lots of approvals). Within an existing board management solution, we revamped the clunky approvals experience, aiming to make the process of setting up, distributing, managing, collecting and displaying results as painless as possible - not only on desktop, but mobile as well. The final product allows permissioned users to set up all of an approval's details, including an automated start and end time. Embedded documents can be included and viewed within the app. Voters can be included on the basis of group or individual permissions. The approval experience itself, once live, includes an approval-specific discussion section, the ability to vote (as well as re-vote), a display of one's own voting history, an overall breakdown of voting results, and (if enabled) a view of how each participant voted. This feature's functional overhaul was also part of a larger initiative to bring visual cohesion to the product. The design was built using a custom design system which mapped to our engineering team's design framework.
