Shopify Email Illustrations

To make Shopify Email more adaptable for all merchants who send communications to their subscribers, we updated the template library with several brand new, free to use, generic illustrations—made with merchants in mind.

With the help of the email team to identify which templates and visuals we should make, I created some illustrations related to owning and running your own store—a generic storefront, shopping bags, packaging boxes, and many more.

Since we wanted these illustrations to work for all merchant's stores, we kept the style simple—black & white, generic-looking (but not boring!), and left a part of the illustration transparent for a background colour to come through, if applicable. We also made sure that the illustrations work on light, dark, or plain white backgrounds, to maximize their potential use and extensibility.
