This is probably the most visually boring thing I will ever dribbble, but since I'm often asked about my process I figure I'll start with the boring part, writing and blocking out a scene.
This is a long form informational comic that I'm working on with Indi Young (who I collaborated with a while ago for this comic) I start by figuring out the pacing of the story. I do that by figuring out what information I want to cover and then cutting it up into bite size pieces. From here I can start to see how the text looks. I don't like to put to much text in each panel especially at the beginning. In this case it's getting kind of wordy so I'll probably end up cutting this down a lot once I get the story in place.
I'll post how these first few panels look after I get all the copy in and finalize the pacing.
