The red mangrove​​​​​​​ (Rhizophora mangle)

It is a plant species of the Rhizophoraceae family, which has around 120 species distributed in 16 genera, the genus Rhizophora being the best known, dominating the most flooded parts of the mangrove ecosystems and the intertidal zone. It is a species adapted to saline environments and tolerates higher salinity than other mangroves. It is a refuge for terrestrial and aquatic animals.
