Few days ago I had an idea for a background image for my twitch: a 2d-terrain, similar to modern 2d sandbox mining games. Being the lazy me, I didn't feel like drawing it all myself, so I created this engine that draws most of the stuff for me, right inside photoshop.
It's completely automated, everything is fully editable and live. You can generate new terrain and it renders the final result instantly. It easily can be reconfigured to display different textures, effects and lighting. Adding more items and textures is easy too.
The only thing you have to lend an artist's hand is liquid.
Check out mp4 for rough steps that it goes through.
Thought someone might find it an interesting idea, hope you enjoy anyway.
