Medicine PhD Thesys Cover

Illustrated cover designed ​​for Alina Aguirre's PhD thesys submitted in 2014.

The design is based on the theme of the thesys, a research study of the action of certain proteins on the lungs to treat diseases. As you can see in the illustration, the three-dimensional representation of the proteins alpha-helix and beta sheet intertwine creating an illusory image of the respiratory system.
