The Girl in the Birdbath cover

The cover for ‘The Girl in the Birdbath, the new contemporary fantasy romance novel by author Judy Spencer. For the cover I worked with two important elements from the book: the garden and a sunflower. In the book Bill meets the girl in the birdbath in his garden, and I wanted to capture that natural, garden-vibe in the cover. By working with plants, flowers and natural foliage I built the composition of the garden. To further explore the natural theme I worked with a color palette inspired by Monet’s water lilies paintings.
