A few drawings I did for one of the final projects of my first year studying architecture. The brief was to create 3 unique structures for inhabitation where one was over the ground, one on and one in the ground; I used the idea of birds for each, the owl for the tall building facing the evening light with panoramic windows relating to the way owls turn their necks, the lark for the building with sloped roofs like wings aloft facing the morning light, and a woodpecker in the ground with a large focal circular window and small light tunnels in the roof to get natural light whilst being in the ground.
