Premium Fish Market - Niche eCommerce

I’ve seen quite a number of curated fish markets online lately - mostly focused on top-grade seafood - and I was inspired to design a potential eCommerce layout that catered more towards a small niche versus a larger store. I wanted a design that could highlight how special the product is - channeling the same exclusivity of each item through the design. In this fish market concept, the horizontal scroll is intuitive to how we shop for fishes in real life, perusing a spread of seafood across a long aisle with the ability to choose our cut.

While there are standards and status quo to how an eCommerce should function, this was a fun challenge to imagine the flipside: is there room for experimental yet functional eCommerce designs for niched businesses with smaller product ranges? Can they be an exception to break the mould?
