A badge design created from my personal feelings around the recent instances of anti-Asian hate crimes in the USA. As a child of Chinese immigrants and an American citizen, it saddens me to see my people being targeted and murdered by their fellow citizens in a place they consider home.
The peony is traditionally a symbol of prosperity and honor in Chinese culture. I hope those who appreciate and consume the cultural contributions of AAPI and Asian immigrants will consider appreciating the people who make those contributions, too.
