The finished version for today's illustration is pretty different from the original sketch. Sometimes it's ok to allow yourself creative freedom, even when it comes to branching away from your own sketches and ideas.
Recently iv been blocking out my vector “sketches” in black and white shades, I learned this technique from watching @rockyroark vector landscape tutorial on youtube. (His vids are great def check him out)
I used to spend way too much time trying to figure out early on what colors to block my vectors in, which as you can imagine was a huge roadblock, but man this way is so freeing!
