Brunswick Review - (Not) Predicting The Future

This illustration is from a series created to accompany an article about Singapore’s “cryptic” think tank, which appears in the latest issue of Brunswick Review.

The article is about the Singapore government’s team of futurists. They use foresight to anticipate, envision and respond to crisis, developing an anticipatory capacity.

The piece also explores the issue of 'Black Swans' (surprise problems) - for this illustration, I set out to illustrate the idea of such problems being observer-specific.
