The approach to this design really highlights my versatility as an artist because of how it contrasts in style to the vast majority of my work. I chose to focus on typography and type treatment over heavy illustration, but still found a way to pack in subtle details that I feel help to add dimension and really pull all the elements together. I was inspired by the thick, three dimensional style of type commonly found on retro, yet timeless "Welcome To" post card designs. I went with a semi abstract paint drip background to suggest a fresh, "vibrant" new coat of paint.
