Thirsty Thursday is owned via copyright by the Asheville Tourists, but it's common for other professional sports teams and organizations to use the concept in their logos and wordmarks provided the "tm" is incorporated.
This was January 2014 when the Knights were still marketing their brand-new logo set and asked for a logo to promote Thursdays. I wanted to combine a bottle cap concept with a vintage badge-like arrangement to invoke thoughts of looking at a craft beer label.
