Restaurant Tip Pool App Concept

Tip pooling is a complicated calculation with a lot of moving parts. This concept is a simple design to show a high level for a giving and receiving position.

Certain positions allocate a percentage of total sales made to a tip pool. The amounts allocated are deducted from the tips they collected during their shift. Receiving positions then receive their cut based on the position’s share of the tip pool collected.

An individual’s tips are allocated based on the number of hours that individual worked as compared to the rest of that position in that time period.
