Baghjan Gas Leak

It has been approx. 163 days since the Baghjan Gas leak, and till date Baghjan is burning. The Baghjan Oil field is at a distance of less than 1 km from the Dibru-Saikhova National Park and Biosphere Reserve. The loss to Maguri-Montapung Beel, a wetland is unfathomable. The land has become infertile, with no farming possibility for the years ahead.
