06 | Gus Dapperton — Where Polly People Go to Read

Gus Dapperton makes that kind of music that I easily become obsessed with. No regrets at all. And it’s cuz the production of each of the songs on this album is simply amazing and consistent. In it, Gus develops a sound I had never heard before, and best of all, all written, produced and interpreted by himself inside his apartment in New Jersey. Layers, layers and more layers, atmospheric loops, kaleidoscopic harmonies, catchy melodies and a raspy and peculiar voice like Gus’, make Where Polly People Go to Read a really enjoyable experience that leaves you asking for more. Special s/o to my boyfriend for introducing me to Gus’ music. Boy got big taste. 💛
