TV App

It is very important to think with the specificity for a particular context. In digital designs as a problem solver, we can not afford to use the same design across all the devices. It could harm the user experience and at the same time it would stress out the user. In the last couple of weeks, I was just going through TV apps like firestick, etc. So many design considerations changes when we are crafting solutions for big screens. Especially when it comes to designing the application for TV the scenario is completely different. And thus we must have that visual lens while working on screens like these. First thing is that usually, the average distance between the TV and the viewer is around 9 to 10 feet. And at such a distance, we should take care of the colors and hence the contrast we are providing. Of course, it must be according to the brand language but how we must avoid the vibrancy that will hamper the experience. With this, we must take care of the typeface and thus the legibility and scannability aspects. As from a distance person just want to know the gist. Also, users should not have that cognitive load while mapping through the solution. And like this, the context completely changes when we go from one screen to another.
