Text scrolling experiment

UX experiment. Breaking some assumptions.

Web assumption: all text loads instantly.

What might be some benefits of procedural text loading? What would happen if we _couldn't_ scan a page if we could only see a certain section?

My daughter mentioned she kinda wished she couldn't skip ahead in books and read some spoilers. This might help with that.
