Lusofonia games Goa 2014 Torch design

About Lusofonia Games: Its an International sporting event which will see participation from athletes and officials from 12 nations competing in 9 different sporting disciplines.
The torch was designed, closely to resemble a sea shell, Also reflects Goa's sea faring costal DNA and its Lusophone past, given that Portuguese colonials arrived at Goa's fair coast by way of sea.
I choose the Sea Shell shape since all the participating countries come from the coastal belt including Goa ,India. A common unified connecting point is created coming from the sea(United through the sea). The tides recedes, waves come and go..But leave behind a sea shell on the beautiful sea shores of Goa.
Complementing the Sea shell torch body, the stand and the pattern on the surface of torch symbolizes the waves and the sea
