Scan 2 Slides

As COVID19 continues to create uncertainty in all of our lives, I have found that teachers and educators have been particularly impacted. One day they’re in-person teaching and the next they’re remote. One challenge I have heard several teachers communicate is the time it takes to convert a physical worksheet into a Google Slides assignment, this is particularly challenging for those teachers that may be less tech-savvy.

I created a utility tool I call Scan 2 Slides that aims to solve this challenge. Scan 2 Slides allows teachers to mark where students should be able to type text on the worksheet using a physical highlighter or “Markup” on their phone. Once uploaded to Scan 2 Slides the tool will automatically create a Google Slides doc with as many slides as worksheets provided and insert text boxes everywhere the teacher marked.
