Lotuses of Kandawgyi Lake

In Yangon, erstwhile Rangoon, the British colonial administration built an artificial lake to ensure they had clean water. That’s the beautiful Kandawgyi lake, today which stands surrounded by a zoological park. On a bright summer day in 2017, fighting the humidity, I stumbled upon these blossoming lotuses at one end of this lake.
