Designlab Foundations: Foodie App

I was tasked with designing an app for food lovers to share their stories about their favorite meals. I decided to focus in on the storytelling behind the meal rather than solely photo sharing. I designed pages for signing in/signing up, newsfeed, and individual stories.

To emphasize the storytelling component, I designed the individual post to look more like blog posts.

The circular images throughout the app are meant to represent the plates on a table and encourage the users to take a photo of their meal to fit in the plate.

I also used terms like "Omakase" and "À la Carte" to denote sections and connect to an audience made up of foodies. I used "Omakase" to indicate chef curated collections of content and "À la Carte" to represent the categories a user could choose from to explore in the app.
