Plastic Free Educational Website Design

Hey there!

Check out a website we've been working on here at Zajno. This website teaches people how to use less plastic and makes this transition easier for them.

We all know that plastic is bad especially when it gets dumped into the ocean. Not everyone knows though that plastic bags don't actually decompose. All they do is break into tiny pieces creating myriads of microplastic particles that poison marine life and pollute the water.

That's why the hero element of this website is a plastic bag that floats while you scroll the page. It always stays in the viewport because so does a plastic bag - once it gets into the ocean, it is there to stay. In terms of design, I used trendy colors (mainly blue to represent the ocean), minimalist and clean interface and accent line elements.

The illustrations you can see above visualize the main categories of plastic products that can be substituted with plastic free ones. These include carrier bags, dental care products, takeaway cups and food storage containers. The website visitors can learn about such products and then buy the plastic free options from partner companies.
