Logistics App UI Design
😉Hello friends!
I would love to make a preview of a project I have been working on, which I work with the developer👨💻and make iterative changes. I am so psyched because this app will be published!💪
This is actually the same project concept I introduced in my last post: package consolidation🚚 (Quick recap: In logistics, it refers to consolidating/combining all small/separate packages into a big box, so all your parcels can be sent to one address together with much less shipment fee).
Last time was for fun and exploration, but this time is for real. The target users are Chinese people who ship items from China 🇨🇳to Australia🇦🇺 using this service, that’s why the language is in Chinese.
Speaking of which, I would like to share my findings how target audience’s language influences UI design(particularly spacing and layout).
Chinese language is very concise, and we pursue the beauty of balance in our language. Plenty of Chinese words(nouns, verbs, adjs, even phrases) can be expressed by just using two characters, which means a lot of elements can take up the same space!!!! 🉐
🤷♀️But this can not be achieved in English. That’s why I cannot just simply translate the UI for better engagement with you guys…I would have to change the layout where necessary.
