Happy Sturgeon Moon, everyone! ✨🌕
Honoring today’s Sturgeon Moon pays tribute to the Algonquin fishing tribes of the great lakes, Ontario, and Quebec region as it marked a major annual fishing season for the tribes. It is also known as the Grain Moon, Green Corn Moon, Fruit Moon, and Barley Moon.
Fun Fact: Sturgeons are a part of a family of prehistoric fish that has existed for more than 135 million years. Individually, they can live up to 150 years!
