Logotype Redraw — Persol

I find the current Persol logo interesting. I'm redrawing their logotype to practice my skill. The old logo kinda have a weird P, this one is more normal. Trying yo keep the same spirit, but more "controlled" and more legible in all sizes.

What do you think?
Do you have any recommendation what logotype to redraw next?
